TNT and ESPN announced today that they will collaborate for extensive coverage during both Inaugural NBA Play-in semifinals games on Thursday, December 7. Each network will broadcast one semifinal game.
The exciting part for the fans is the collaboration in the studio that’ll take place. ESPN’s Dorris Burke and Mike Breen will be joined by TNT analyst and one of the best shooters of all time, Reggie Miller, for the ESPN semifinal broadcast at 7 pm.
TNT’s semi-final game at 9 pm will include the duo of Candace Parker and Kevin Harlan, who ESPN’s Doc Rivers will join. It seems like a unique crossover that’ll excite fans to be able to hear these former players commentate and converse together.
The commentary booth is one of the creative ideas that’ll excite fans, but the two media conglomerates will collaborate on pregame coverage on December 7. For the ESPN broadcast, the TNT Inside The NBA Crew will join for an extensive segment during their 4 pm pregame show.
The ESPN crew will also join the Inside The NBA’s pregame broadcast on TNT at 7:30. The Championship game will be played on Sunday, December 9, at 8:30 pm on ABC. It’s a smart move by the NBA to continue to bring constant engagement to the Play-In tournament as well.
