With the conclusion of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls The Last Dance docuseries, ESPN is announcing another” last dance” series, this time for NFL player Tom Brady.
Similar to The Last Dance, The Man In The Arena: Tom Brady will chronicle Brady’s career and “will include a look from Brady’s perspective at the six NFL titles and three Super Bowl defeats.”
Set to debut in 2021, the series will feature nine-episodes with details spanning his two-decade career.
In the same way that The Last Dance featured interviews from former teammates and members of the Bulls organization, The Man In The Arena will also see the perspective of Brady’s story told from different points of view.
“The episodes are expected to be grounded in Brady’s reflections and will include voices and outlooks other than his,” ESPN revealed in a statement.
Brady took to Twitter to announce the documentary and explain the reason for its title.⠀
“I have quoted Theodore Roosevelt’s “Man in the Arena” speech since I saw it painted on our weight room wall at UM in 1995,” Brady wrote. “It’s a constant reminder to ignore the noise, buckle my chinstrap, and battle through whatever comes my way. Coming 2021 on ESPN!”
