The estranged father of former RHOA star Kim Zolciak-Biermann was arrested for battery earlier this week after allegedly getting into a physical altercation with his wife.
According to Page Six, Joseph Zolciak and his wife Karen got into a fight over his talking to a female neighbor.
Joseph reportedly left the couple’s home to go run an errand, and Karen slammed the door behind him because she was “upset.”
The police report stated that when he returned, Karen went to take a bath because he was “ignoring her and watching TV in the bedroom.”
Once she was done with her bath, Karen allegedly tried to resume the conversation with her husband multiple times, but he continued to ignore her. That’s when she claims he allegedly “pushed her, causing her to fall and hit the right side of her head on an antique table,” the report states.
Joseph told cops his wife was blocking the TV when she fell, which he suspected was because she was “intoxicated.”
Karen did admit to having had two glasses of wine, and the responding officer also made a note of it in the police report describing her “highly intoxicated.”
He was arrested for misdemeanor battery and booked at the Escambia County Jail and was released the next day on a $1,000 bond. His court date is set for Nov. 29.
