The parents of the alleged teenage gunman accused of killing four students in a shooting at a Michigan high school were captured early this morning, several hours after a prosecutor filed involuntary manslaughter charges against them in connection with the shooting.
James and Jennifer Crumbley, the parents of suspect Ethan Crumbley were captured after authorities located them in a commercial building in Detroit that housed artwork.
In a news conference, Detroit Police Chief James E. White told reporters the couple “were aided in getting into the building” and that the person who helped them may also face charges.
A nearby business owner spotted a car tied to the Crumbleys in his parking lot Friday night and contacted police.
Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe said a woman seen near the vehicle ran away when the business owner called authorities.
