“Euphoria” actress Chloe Cherry found herself in a pickle after being charged with retail theft for a fairly inexpensive shirt.
Many of you reading this are probably wondering how an actress on one of television’s biggest shows would need to steal anything, and honestly, we have the same questions. However, it appears that the matter may be one big misunderstanding. According to TMZ, the incident occurred in December when Cherry entered the Building Character shopping complex in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Cherry purchased several goods with her credit card but, for whatever reason, chose to steal a $28 blouse. When police got involved, Cherry allegedly admitted to taking the shirt and handed it over to them. A witness also reported seeing the young woman enter the dressing room with the top before leaving without paying for it.
Cherry’s rep, on the other hand, told a different story. According to them, the Only Fans model wasn’t properly charged for the blouse, which is the fault of the cashier. The rep also slammed claims that Cherry confessed, given that she wasn’t under the impression that she did anything wrong.
No matter what the facts are, Cherry will now have to get to the bottom of things in court, having been charged with one misdemeanor count of retail theft. She was officially charged Monday, January 23rd. The 25-year-old is due back for a preliminary hearing on February 22nd.
Cherry is known for her role as Faye in the HBO series, “Euphoria.” Additionally, she works as an adult film actress. Cherry has not spoken out publicly about her odd legal trouble.
