“Top Model” Eva Marcille sits down with Wendy Williams and opens up about being the newest member of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” marriage and her old relationship with Kevin McCall.
On Thursday, Marcille visited the “The Wendy Williams Show” and hopped right into talking about how she went from being single to now being married to politician Michael Sterling. Marcille told Williams she and her husband met at a fundraiser. “We met there, and we went on a couple dates, and he’s been mine ever since,” Marcille said.
Several years ago, Marcille exclusively dated singer, Kevin McCall. After a hard breakup, the two went their separate ways, but that didn’t end the dysfunction between the stars, as Marcille would often call out McCall’s absence from their daughter Marley’s life. Calling McCall “wackadoodle,” Williams asked Marcille about blending her family with Michael. “All of [our] children are together. We blended quickly. He’s a good boy. A good ole’ southern Texas boy,” Marcille said of her husband.
Marcille went on to say that her daughter calls her husband “daddy.” “Michael is Marley’s Dad. He is the only Dad she’s ever known. He is there for her. He wakes her up in the morning, he reads her books at night, he takes her to the doctor…but he is like the most amazing Dad.” When asked about people attacking her for McCall not seeing Marley, she explained biology isn’t as important as being present and explained McCall isn’t in the best state of mind.
“He’s extremely dysfunctional, and he is not at a place where it’s safe for himself or others. Why would I do that?” While Marcille said she is open to McCall coming back into Marley’s life, mentioned that it will have to be through court mediation. “He doesn’t go all the way to the top floor…To be a parent, you have to be responsible, and you need to learn how to be selfless.”
