On Wednesday, a federal judge handed down a hefty 35-year sentence to a former Florida Sheriff’s deputy after pleading guilty to producing and possessing child pornography.
38-year-old Travis Ryan Pritchard was ordered to register as a sex offender. At the time of his arrest last year, he was a member of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office DUI Unit, the Local 10 News reported.
He is also accused of having a relationship with a 15-year-old girl he met by using an online chat app to engage with her from December 2019 to May 2020.
The girl said he asked her to send him nude pictures of herself despite knowing she was 15.
