On Saturday night, HBO aired “Confirmation,” the Anita Hill story starring Kerry Washington. If you’re unfamiliar with the story, “Confirmation” focuses on the Senate hearings in which Anita Hill testified about how Clarence Thomas, her former boss, talked to her about the size of his penis, oral sex, and his favorite porno movies while they worked at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The film was great, but what’s even greater is the tea that is still getting spilled.
Clarence Thomas’ ex-girlfriend is telling all about the Supreme Court justice. Lillian McEwen, 70, began dating Thomas, who is now 67, in 1981, prior to the Anita Hill debacle. Based on Lillian McEwen’s description of him, it appears that Hill wasn’t lying about Clarence Thomas.
Lillian described Thomas as “extremely seductive and romantic,” admitting that they often engaged in threesomes with Thomas’ female colleagues. McEwen worked as an assistant to the Senate Judiciary Committee counsel. The two dated for nearly 7 years, before Clarence ended up marrying his wife Virginia in 1987.
During their time together Lillian says that Clarence drank “pretty much anything that had an alcoholic content” and loved to dance to R&B music. Acting like he was bending over and picking up a handkerchief off the ground was his signature dance move. It was pretty entertaining to watch,” she told the NY Post.
In her 2011 memoir she details their sex and strong interest in porn. Don’t get it twisted though, she isn’t dogging him at all. In fact, she doesn’t even stand with Anita Hill. According to McEwen, despite knowing first hand how Clarence was, she believes that Hill “wanted to destroy him” and that “her testimony was probably about what she overheard or what somebody told her from work.”
