Sports players and domestic violence cases don’t usually play out well. Milton Bradley, the former Chicago Cubs outfielder, has been charged with battery for allegedly assaulting his wife.
According to TMZ, the incident originally happened in January when cops were called to their Los Angeles home because his wife told officials that Bradley had beaten her up during an argument.

Bradley had fled the scene by the time the police arrived, but after an investigation the L.A. City Attorney decided to charge the ex-MLB star with battery on a spouse. The charge is a misdemeanor and if convicted, he could face a fine and up to a year in jail.
