The Seahawks defensive back claims that Nina defrauded him of nearly $3 million in money and property, according to TMZ.
Court documents reveal that Nina began draining his accounts shortly after filing for divorce in 2020. With the help of a co-conspirator, she allegedly transferred assets into her own name. In a shocking move, she reportedly spent about $2.7 million, partly on breast implants and a Hermes Birkin handbag.
Nina was arrested earlier this week and is facing charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.
This is just the latest twist in an already tumultuous relationship. Back in November 2020, Nina filed for divorce after she allegedly held Earl at gunpoint when she found him in bed with two women and his brother. Then, in 2021, she was granted a restraining order after Earl allegedly attacked her while intoxicated.
In 2023, Nina’s new boyfriend, Kevin J. Thompson, was arrested for stealing Earl’s identity in a $1.9 million scam. Thompson is accused of cashing Earl’s NFL checks, draining his bank accounts, and even transferring ownership of his cars.
Earl, who played nine seasons with the Seahawks and one with the Ravens, saw his career come to an abrupt end when Baltimore terminated his contract in 2020 for “personal conduct that adversely affected” the team.
