Last month, ex-NFL star Greg Lloyd was arrested on felony assault charges after his wife claimed he pulled a gun on her in a domestic dispute. However, Lloyd has denied the allegations. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In legal docs obtained by TMZ sports, Lloyd’s wife, Stephanie, said the incident occurred on July 20, when he pulled the gun and “told me that if I f*ck up I’m going to get one.”
Although she managed to escape the former baller’s presence, Stephanie said he kept calling her, threatening her life.
“Doing stupid sh*t like this is how you end up in the morgue,” Stephanie said he said, adding that Lloyd also insisted that the gun was not loaded.
However, she still filed for a restraining order against her husband in fear of her safety, as she revealed he has a history of “pointing guns at other people but this is a first time for me.”
“I have battled all types of abuse from my husband for years hoping that things would at some point get better … I do not feel safe anymore,” Stephanie said.
⠀Seven days after the incident, Lloyd was arrested for felony aggravated assault and a misdemeanor for pointing a gun. He was released three days later and ordered to stay at least 200 yards away from his wife until next year.
In the meantime, Lloyd denies the allegations, despite his previous conviction for pointing a gun at someone else back in the early 2000s.
