On Tuesday, a grand jury indicted an ex-University of Kentucky student caught on camera assaulting a black student and using racial slurs.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, Sophia Rosing, 22, was charged with six counts by a grand jury in Fayette County, including assault and criminal assault on a police officer.

On November 6, a video was shared online of Rosing, a white student, getting into a drunken altercation on campus.  She is accused of repeatedly using the n-word, biting, kicking, and punching student worker Kylah Spring, 19.

“The girl starts saying things like ‘Do my chores,’ ‘It’s not my fault that you’re black,’ ‘It’s not my fault that you’re ugly,’ and at this point, she’s like singing the n-word,” Spring said after the assault.

When the police arrived and arrested the student, she continued her disgusting behavior.  She is accused of biting and kicking the arresting officer while intoxicated.

Following the racial assault, the University of Kentucky permanently banned Rosing from the campus.

Among the charges against her were one order of third-degree assault of a police officer, three counts of fourth-degree assault, one charge of second-degree disorderly conduct, and one charge of alcohol intoxication.
Rosing’s arraignment is scheduled for March 17.
