Ex-WWE champion Alberto Del Rio has been formally indicted on 4 counts of sexual assault and 1 count of aggravated kidnapping stemming from a May incident where he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.
According to the accuser, who only speaks Spanish, Del Rio went into a rage after accusing her of cheating on him. She alleged that the 43-year-old smashed her cell phone, her laptop and tried to burn her passport in an ambush, which began around 10 PM on May 3rd and lasted until around 2:30 PM on May 4th.
The woman also claims that the man, whose real name is Jose Rodriguez Chucuan, violently attacked her during the ordeal, causing multiple injuries that left her “feeling woozy and dizzy from the hits to her head.” At some point during the beating, she said that Del Rio “shoved a sock into her mouth, to keep [her] quiet” and sexually assaulted her.
Even more disturbing is that he allegedly threatened her child, saying that he would take her son and “drop him off in the middle of the road somewhere” if she refused to put on a dress and dance for him before tying her up.
If convicted, he can face over 20 years in prison.
