Here’s the extended footage of Solange and Jay Z’s altercation in an elevator at the Standard Hotel MET Gala after party in New York City. The new footage is over 3 minutes long and although we still don’t know what prompted the fight, we see Julius (Beyonce’s bodyguard) attempt to remove Solange from the elevator several times but she’s not going without getting a few more licks in. At some point she hits Jay with her purse, dropping the contents of it to the floor. Towards the end it looks like Jay says something to Beyonce, maybe to get her to control her sister, but it’s really hard to say without there being any audio available.
The hotel where the incident took place released a statement expressing their shock at the surveillance leaking.
“We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.”
