Director F. Gary Gray Becomes Highest Grossing Director Of A Single Film

F. Gary Gray has been directing both music videos and films since 1989. He has worked with artists such as Ice Cube, TLC, Jay Z, Tupac, Stevie Wonder, Outkast, and many more. He’s  also directed cult classic films such as Friday, Set It Off, The Negotiator, The Italian Job, Be Cool, A Man Apart and so many more.

Recently, it is F. Gary Gray’s film Straight Out Of Compton that has been putting up major box office numbers. The film has pulled in an estimated $158 million and has lead both the U.S. And Canadian box offices. According to Forbes, Straight Outta Compton has officially made F. Gary Gray the highest grossing black director of a single film in domestic sales.
