Meta Warns That More Than One Million Facebook Users Login Credentials May Have Been Stolen From Malicious Apps

Meta, the owner of Facebook, has warned that up to 1 million users’ login credentials may have been compromised.

Over 400 malicious Apple and Android apps created to steal individual Facebook logins have been found by Meta researchers.

“We reported our findings to Apple and Google and are helping potentially impacted people to learn more about how to stay safe and secure their accounts,” said Meta reps David Agranovich and Ryan Victory last week.

At this time, Meta researchers are still trying to identify the issue.
