Families of Two Astroworld Victims Settle Cases Over Deadly Festival

Two families of the victims of the Astroworld Festival have reached a settlement in their lawsuits against Travis Scott.

Entertainment Tonight recently revealed that the families of two Astroworld victims had settled their cases. According to the outlet, Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing Axel Acosta‘s family says, “claims brought by the family of Axel Acosta against Travis Scott, Live Nation, and others involved in the Astroworld tragedy have settled.”

Buzbee adds, “Victim Axel Acosta was a beloved son, brother, and student. He was kind and loving. He is greatly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.”

In addition, the family of Brianna Rodriguez also settled their lawsuit.

The family’s attorneys, Robin Blanchette and Troy Williams, says “claims brought by the family of Brianna Rodriguez against those involved in the Astroworld tragedy have settled.”

The terms of both settlements have confidential at this moment.

Nevertheless, the “Sicko Mode” rapper is still battling legal troubles. As we’re all aware, 10 individuals were killed at Travis’s 2021 festival with hundreds more suffering multiple injuries.

Travis is currently being sued for $2 million by attorney Thomas J. Henry on behalf of 280 victims. The rapper is also named as a defendant in a wrongful death lawsuit, after a woman claims her injuries caused her miscarriage.

Following the incident, Travis launched Project Heal which focuses event safety and other things.
