The family of 9-year-old crowd crush victim Ezra Blount calls out Ye after the rapper said he would not perform at Coachella until Billie Eilish apologizes to Travis Scott.
At a recent tour stop, Billie Eilish stopped during her performance to check on a fan and asked if they needed an inhaler. Many artists have begun to pause performances like SZA and Teyanna Taylor for crowd safety amid the Astroworld tragedies.
Eilish said, “Give her some time. Don’t crowd. I wait for people to be OK until I keep going.” Well, Kanye thought she was dissing his former semi-brother-in-law, Travis Scott, and called her out on Instagram.

Eilish responded, “literally never said a thing about travis. was just helping a fan.”Â
Ezra Blount’s grandfather, Bernon Blount, speaks out following Ye’s claims. He says, “To hear Kanye’s words, that’s hurtful to us. What an idiotic thing to say.”Â
The grandmother, Tericia Blount, also spoke out, “I think it’s just crazy, and I hate to use that word, but I think it’s ridiculous. She’s making sure that she is caring for the patrons at her concert, and I just think that’s crazy of Kanye to even let that demand come out his mouth.”Â
According to BuzzFeed News, Travis Scott liked Kanye’s post also.Â
Bernon continues, ” I totally commend Billie Eilish for having that decency about her. I think what she did was wonderful, and I would love to tell her myself how brilliant and awesome she is for doing so.”Â
