Family of Idaho Murder Suspect Asking People to Refrain From Passing Judgment and Let the Legal Process Unfold

The family of the Idaho murder suspect is speaking out, asking the public not to pass judgment just yet.

Bryan Kohberger’s family recently released a statement regarding the allegations brought against the 28-year-old.

“First and foremost, we care deeply for the four families who have lost their precious children, the family wrote. “There are no words that can adequately express the sadness we feel, and we pray each day for them. We will continue to let the legal process unfold. And as a family, we will love and support our son and brother.”

The statement continued, “We have fully cooperated with law enforcement agencies in an attempt to seek the truth and promote his presumption of innocence. Rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions. We respect privacy in this matter as our family and the families suffering loss can move forward through the legal process.”

The family’s statement comes after information about Bryan’s background surfaces and proves his love for criminology.

Bryan was a PhD student studying criminal justice and criminology at Washington State University.

A few of Bryan’s former classmates described him as being combative, off-putting, and fully committed to his major during his time in college. One classmate recalled getting into a heated argument with Bryan during a class discussion. The conversation was about criminal concepts, and that led the student to leave the class abruptly.

Bryan was arrested on Friday on first-degree murder charges for the deaths of four WSU students: Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Kaylee Goncalves.
