Lil Uzi Vert promised to pay a fan’s college tuition if he graduated. Well, the fan finally crossed the stage. However, he is still awaiting his $90,000 payment from the rapper.
On Wednesday, Raheel Ahmad shared his graduation news on Instagram with a series of photos of him in a cap and gown. Ahmad graduated from Temple University with a degree in Political Science. In one of the clips, Ahmad reminds Uzi of the promise he made to him.
“Yo, you said I had to graduate before you actually pay for my college. Well, I’m here to say I don’t bullsh*t, and I actually did it. Brown people don’t drop out,” Ahmad said.
In 2019, Ahmad ran into Uzi at a department store. During their interaction, Uzi promised to pay Ahmad’s $90,000 college tuition but only if he graduated first.
Well, Ahmad did just that and even invited Uzi to his graduation party last December. In a video, Ahmad says, “the time has finally come. I’ve made it through four years of Temple, graduating with a 3.5 GPA.”
Ahmad says meeting the rapper gave him “a sense of hope and optimism.” The recent college grad says he plans to launch a NFT collection called ‘GradOwls’ that help with college tuition for NFT holders each month. But until then, Ahmad is waiting on Uzi to uphold his end of the deal.
