The father of Fantasia’s daughter Zion, is seeking custody. Yes, the father who not only beat Fantasia when they were younger but abandoned Fantasia when she was pregnant and allowed her to raise their child alone for 13 years, has resurfaced and looking to take over. Can we say “child support”?
In new court documents, Brandel Shouse claims he is a better parent than Fantasia. He’s seeking legal and physical custody. Fantasia says Brandel has never in his life paid child support, but since he wants to go there — she’s taking him there. Fantasia says since Brandel is able bodied and capable of getting a job, he needs to pay up his child support.
This isn’t the first time Fantasia has been caught in custody mess. Her son Dallas, with Antwaun Cook, was practically being raised by Cook as she toured and rumor had it Fantasia wasn’t accepting of the amount of time her son was spending around Cook’s wife. I don’t think there was ever a custody battle, but I do recall things being really messy at one point.
Frankly, no court is giving Brandel custody after being absent for 13 years…but nice try.
