Fat Joe is one step closer to clearing his name in the faulty assault case.
The Bronx rapper is now turning the heat up on the opposing attorney in his defamation lawsuit, claiming that the motion to dismiss the case was based on fake legal arguments generated by AI.
According to court documents obtained by Complex, Fat Joe’s legal team says attorney Tyrone Blackburn submitted a filing that referenced at least ten nonexistent or distorted cases.
“Blackburn’s motion isn’t just flawed, it’s built on make-believe law,” said a member of Fat Joe’s legal team. “He tried to derail our case using AI-generated nonsense.”
Fat Joe sued former associate Terrance Dixon and Blackburn earlier this year, accusing them of spreading lies about sexual misconduct and underage involvement to extort money.
His attorneys say the AI misuse shows a pattern. “This isn’t a mistake. Blackburn has done this before. He’s been warned. Now it’s time for consequences,” said the source.
They are urging the court not only to reject Blackburn’s motion but to hit him with sanctions for what they call a serious ethical breach.
The judge has yet to make a ruling.
