BET has announced that Hip Hop legend Fat Joe will host this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards.
“This will be the BIGGEST award show in history,” said Fat Joe.
Fat Joe is a grammy nominated artist, actor, philanthropist, and all-around entertainer. Hailing from the Bronx, he has been a part of hip hop for over four decades. While many may know of Fat Joe’s multiplatinum hits, including “Lean Back,” “What’s Luv,” and “All The Way Up,” Fat Joe has also started his own nightly Instagram show, “The Fat Joe Show.” He’s interviewed huge names like Floyd Mayweather, Dwyane Wade, Jamie Foxx, Diddy, and so many more. He has also served as a guest host on The Wendy Willams Show and participated in Triller’s Versuz, showing that he’s no stranger to the mic.
“Fat Joe is hip hop royalty. He has represented the artform and the Bronx, the birthplace of hip hop, throughout his outstanding musical career. He is a treasured friend of the network, and we’ve loved seeing and supporting his evolution becoming the superstar he is today,” said Connie Orlando, EVP, Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET.
The awards show is scheduled to be taped in Atlanta, GA, on Friday, September 30th, and will air on Tuesday, October 4th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on BET.
