FBI Arrests Six People In Plot To Kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer Over COVID-19 Lockdown

An FBI raid resulted in the arrest of six men in connection with a plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan.

The men set out to put Governor Gretchen Whitmer “on trial for treason” because they believe she “violated” the US Constitution this year with her tough pandemic lockdown restrictions.

According to the Daily Mail, the men, identified as Adam FoxBarry Croft, Kaleb FranksDaniel HarrisBrandon Caserta, and 24-year-old Ty Garbin, conspired to kidnap Whitmer from her family’s vacation home in Michigan.

The FBI affidavit alleges that the group started their plot in early June. The group conducted surveillance on Whitmer’s home, practiced rigorous shooting and combat drills, and built their own explosives to prepare for the kidnapping.

“Several members talked about murdering ‘tyrants’ or ‘taking’ a sitting governor,” an FBI agent wrote in the affidavit. “The group decided they needed to increase their numbers and encouraged each other to talk to their neighbors and spread their message.”

The plot was uncovered through an FBI informant who is also part of a known militia that the men tried to recruit from as part of a wider effort to ‘take’ the state capitol with 200 people.

Fox and Croft are listed as the group’s ringleaders. They are described in the affidavit as leading numerous meetings “to unite others in their cause’ to ‘overthrow’ multiple state governments that they believe are violating the US. Constitution.”

In one of the alleged meetings, Fox talked about kidnapping Whitmer as she made her way into her vacation home, and told the other men: ‘Grab the f***** Governor. Just grab the b***h’.

According to numerous reports, the men planned to move Whitmer to a secure location in Wisconsin after the abduction, where they would put her on ‘trial,’ but they did not have a set location in mind.

Since the Covid-19 lockdown, there have been widespread protests in the state by people who said they wanted the right to continue to work, including some who stormed the state capitol armed with guns.

Thursday morning, just three hours before the FBI announced the results of the raid, Trump called Whitmer the “lockdown queen,” in a scathing tweet, after having previously referred to her as “that woman from Michigan.”
