Richard Wershe Jr., also known as “White Boy Rick,” has been arrested in connection to an alleged assault against a woman at a Florida condominium.
According to the Miami Police Department, the FBI informant who inspired the movie “White Boy Rick,” was arrested on charges related to an incident that occurred over the weekend in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. In what authorities have characterized as a case of domestic violence, Wershe and his girlfriend were allegedly engaging in a sexual encounter when he said another woman’s name.
After the girlfriend attempted to leave the bed, she informed authorities that Wershe forcefully grabbed her arm and took back a diamond bracelet and necklace he had previously gifted her. Despite her efforts to break free, she managed to throw a shoe at Wershe but missed. Wershe subsequently caught up with the woman and struck her in the chest.
Police stated in an incident report that an individual reported observing the assault; however, it remains unclear who this person is or their reason for being present. The woman who allegedly sustained bruises during the incident reported the attack on Tuesday at a Miami police station. The report mentioned that she had delayed reporting due to concerns regarding her immigration status.
Upon arriving at the police station in search of his car keys, Wershe was arrested. During a search, law enforcement discovered Wershe with various items, including a Lamborghini key, approximately $11,000 in cash, a gold Rolex watch, two gold chains, and a set of AirPods.
Despite working as an FBI informant, Wershe achieved notoriety as Michigan’s longest-serving non-violent juvenile offender, having spent 32 years in prison for drug-related crimes. In 2017, he was released on parole in Michigan. However, he still had a remaining sentence of 22 months in Florida but was released in 2020.
