A recall has been initiated for two thousand cans of Diet Coke, Sprite, and Fanta Orange that were distributed in the Southern states.
As per the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Coca-Cola initiated a recall involving 1,557 cases of Sprite, 417 cases of Diet Coke, and 14 cases of Fanta Orange. On November 6, the recall was instigated by United Packers in Alabama. The company recalled 12-ounce aluminum cans due to concerns that certain products might contain “foreign material.”
The FDA did not provide details about the nature of the “foreign material” found in the cans. The FDA classified this recall as a Class II, which indicates a situation where a “violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”
