A federal agent has been arrested for being a part of a secret prostitution ring.
During an investigation into a prostitution ring in Fulton County, a federal agent was taken down for allegedly being involved in the sting. WSB-TV in Atlanta reports a South Fulton police investigator went undercover as a prostitution decoy near Fulton Industrial Boulevard Thursday night.
As a result, 10 men were arrested on misdemeanor charges, the news outlet reports. During the arrests, officials say that one of the men had an item on their car that read “Police-Homeland Security.” His name has yet to be released, but it was found that he works as an inspector for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The undercover investigation was put together in hopes of cracking down on sex trafficking, per Lieutenant Shannon McKesey. Five of the suspects arrested had guns in their cars; all of them denied the accusations they were accused of, according to WSB-TV.
