Felony Charges Brought Up Against Jermain Taylor For Shooting His Cousin

Back in August, former boxing champ Jermain Taylor took a gun and shot his cousin multiple times at his Arkansas home. Taylor’s wife called 911 immediately following and Jermain could be heard on tape admitting he shot a man. He also warns police, “Better come get him before I kill him.”

At first Taylor claimed that it was self defense and that the man was an intruder. Prosecutors aren’t buying it. Taylor has finally been hit with felony charges of battery and making terroristic threats and faces up to 26 years behind bars. 

In addition to this update, Taylor’s cousin survived the incident and Taylor is trying to sell the home where the shooting took place. He’s asking for $1.2 million.
