In the world of hip-hop, beefs are popping up left and right. Unfortunately, the women in rap have also fallen into some of the messy drama. Many have speculated that such rivalries are carefully orchestrated to bring more dollars into the music business. Others believe that the issues among the ladies are genuine, fueled by rumors and even jealousy in some cases. Despite these unfortunate fallouts, which often play out on social media, there are some female MCs who would have the perfect chemistry on a record. If they could put their alleged differences aside, this merging of the minds would be epic for the culture.
Cardi B & JT
With both Cardi B and JT preparing projects set to release this year, having both on a single could shake the industry up in a good way. Sadly, they’d first have to overcome those past spats online.
GloRilla & Saweetie
Shortly after GloRilla emerged on the scene with “FNF (Let’s Go),” she received a co-sign from Saweetie. The pair even recorded and shot a video for the remix of the record. For reasons unknown, the song was scrapped. It’s never too late to run it back, especially if there is no lasting tension between the two.
Erica Banks & Megan Thee Stallion
Though Erica Banks and Megan Thee Stallion got off to a rocky start, both of these Texas queens would likely dominate a track together. Now that they have both stepped away from 1501. Hopefully, this can become a reality…or at least one can hope.
Sexyy Red & Latto
In October 2023, Sexyy Red shut down all talks of beef with Latto as many online speculated the women were at odds over who was rocking True Religion first. Considering that their supposed issue sounded like fan fiction from the start, there should be no reason why these rappers can’t come together for a Summer anthem.
Yung Miami & Nicki Minaj
Though they once had a minor issue over someone telling Nicki Minaj that City Girls didn’t like her, Minaj made amends with the ladies. While she may be closer with JT these days, it would still be epic to see both women collaborating with one another.
While these linkups are a long shot, we hope these women can come together for the good of hip-hop, even if only for one song.
