Fendi Baguette Celebrates 25 Year

Ballerific Fashion: Fendi Baguette Celebrates 25 Year

Happy Birthday to the legendary and iconic Fendi Baguette! After 25 years of shaking the fashion industry, the purse is introducing a new color, Tiffany Blue.

To celebrate the legendary bag, Fendi is hosting a special fashion show which will be live at 8:00 p.m. on Sept. 9 in New York City.

The signature bag was designed in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi, retailing for over $3,000. The classic handbag made its pop culture debut when Carrie Bradshaw sported the bag in HBO’s Sex and the City until it got robbed.

Since its introduction to the world, Fendi has maintained a high profile by designing more modern patterns and upkeeping with the details.

The bag will be featured in a Tiffany Blue color at New York Fashion Week in NYC this weekend. And more high-profile designers, like Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs, are celebrating along with the baguette.

In the words of Silvia Fendi, the baguette is “its own personality and its own identity—it’s a little sexy bag!”
