Ferg, formerly A$AP Ferg, recently shared his thoughts on Future’s alleged diss of Gunna in their track “Allure.”
The New York rapper appeared on “The Breakfast Club,” where the viral verse came up. In Future’s lines, he raps, “You took a plea on my slime, won’t be surprised you ended up dead.” Many believed the bar was a reference to Gunna, who was released before Young Thug after accepting a plea deal in the high-profile YSL case. However, it’s also possible Future was referring to one of the other co-defendants. Although Ferg wasn’t certain whom Future was speaking about, he emphasized the importance of proper freedom, particularly when collaborating with other artists.
“I definitely listen. I’m listening, and I know what people is talking about. But yeah, artistic freedom,” Ferg stated.
Ferg also made it clear where his loyalty stands in the situation. “Well, you know, I met Gunna through Thug, so I’m loyal to Thug. Whatever Thug say is good, is good. You know? I love Thug, and I’ve grown a love for Gunna. And when I see him, it’s love. But at the same time, it’s like whatever Thug say,” he explained.
Gunna has not spoken out publicly about the alleged diss. However, many are curious to know what his relationship is like with Thug. At his sentencing, the “Digits” star requested that he have permission to work with Gunna. However, a message from Thug’s Twitter suggested he does not like the “One of Wun” performer.
