After being called out by the mother of his late daughter, Lauren, Fetty Wap took to Instagram to let his fans know that he has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
In a Monday IG post, Fetty wrote that he was “fighting real life s—” shortly after Turquoise Miami blasted the “Trap Queen” rapper on Instagram Live for being a deadbeat father while the child was alive.
“I don’t respect the internet shit. Much love for the ones who bring peace in my life at this point,” Fetty added in the caption.

Fetty’s statement followed Miami claiming that he told her he’d build a relationship with Lauren once she became a teenager because her stepfather was already a father figure in her life. Miami also criticized Fetty for vocalizing his grief during his interviews, despite never being there for the child, who died from cardiac arrhythmia due to a congenital heart defect on June 24th.
“I’m never gonna stop nobody from grieving, but I feel like you’re doing too much for what it actually was. You’re grieving what could have been. You’re grieving that you should have been there,” Miami stated. During her lengthy Live session, she revealed that Fetty only called to check on their child once or twice a year.
This is not Fetty’s first time being called out for being an absentee father. Lezhae Zeona, the mother of his daughter Zaviera and son Zy, and Masika Kalysha, who is the mother of his daughter Khari, have called him out publicly multiple times for failing to take care of his children.
