Rapper Fetty Wap is being sued for allegedly punching and choking a woman in his Los Angeles home last year.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the unnamed woman says she was partying at Fetty’s home in June 2019 with friends.
In the lawsuit, the woman claims Fetty was drinking heavily and “near the end of the night, (she) made an off-the-cuff comment to her friend about the party that Fetty Wap overheard. Fetty Wap immediately approached (her) and aggressively placed his face directly to (her) face while threatening to harm her. He then pressed his finger on her forehead, and forcefully pushed her head back.”
The Trap Queen rapper then “violently grabbed (her) by her throat and strangled her. While still choking her, (Fetty) forcefully pushed (her) against a window and threatened (her) by saying, “I’ll kill you.”
“Fetty Wap continued to grab and push (her) before finally swinging and punching Plaintiff directly in the face,’ the lawsuit read. She then claimed the rapper grabbed her by the “arm, neck, and hair, ripping parts of her clothes and her necklace from her body” and at the time she “felt extreme fear for her health and safety and felt extreme pain and swelling on numerous parts of her body.”
Part of the altercation was captured on video and shared online last year, where Fetty Wap is seen knocking a cell phone out of a woman’s hand as she records him.
After the incident, the woman called 911, and the LAPD investigated the case, but no criminal charges were brought against the rapper.
Now, the woman says she “continues to suffer from extreme distress, humiliation, indignation, and outrage as a result of Fetty Wap’s intoxicated and violent conduct.”
