The fiancé of a South Carolina woman who seemingly vanished in 2020 has just been charged with her death.
32-year-old Brittany Michelle Davis was last seen alive at a restaurant in Greenville, S.C. in February of 2020, but her family didn’t report her missing until March 16, 2020.
DNA testing confirmed that human remains found in April of this year along a wooded area in Northeast Georgia belonged to the missing woman.
Detectives uncovered evidence that suggested that Davis was likely deceased after meeting with foul play. They also theorized she died on or around February 12, 2020, but they have not yet determined the cause of her death.
Davis lived with her fiancé Michael Lee Wilkerson at the time of her disappearance, and now based on evidence they collected during their ongoing investigation, cops have charged him with her murder.
Wilkerson, originally from Lawrenceville, GA, was taken into custody and is awaiting extradition back to Greenville.
