Ahead of its May release, Hulu and 20th Century shared a first look at White Men Can’t Jump reboot on Sunday. The film stars Jack Harlow as Jeremy and Sinqua Walls as Kamal.
In the trailer, set to Skee-Lo’s “I Wish,” Harlow’s character is shown linking up with Walls at a pickup basketball game. Lacking the funds to join, he asks Kamal to cover for him. The two characters continue to banter back and forth as a montage of basketball scenes plays throughout the 30-second teaser.
“I knew this was a mistake,” Kamal says.
Play hard, hustle harder.

The reboot also stars Lance Reddick, Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, Tamera ‘Tee’ Kissen, Myles Bullock, and rapper Vince Staples. The reboot is directed by Calmatic and co-written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall.
The remake is a take on Ron Shelton’s 1992 sports comedy featuring Woody Harrelson, Wesley Snipes, and Rosie Perez. Harlow’s part is based on the role initially played by Harrelson, while Walls’ character is based on Snipes’ role.
This marks Harlow’s acting debut and is set to be released on Hulu on May 19.
