Five Daycare Employees Charged With Child Abuse After Scaring Toddlers With A “Scream” Mask [Video]

Five daycare workers are facing felony charges after a video went viral showing them purposely scaring small children.

Recently, a video circulated on social media of staff members at Lil’ Blessings Child Care and Learning Center terrifying children with a “Scream” mask.

“Are you being bad? Do I need to take you outside?” the masked employee screams at the kids.

At one point, the camerawoman says, “We are suppose to be cleaning up, monster” to the masked employee who continues to terrorize the kids.

The staff member even chased a toddler around the room and scream inches from his face.

It didn’t take long for authorities to investigate the situation.

“On Monday October 17, 2022 the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the County Prosecuting Attorney, and the District Attorney met with the parents of the children involved in the incident at Lil’ Blessings Child Care and Learning Center. We informed them of the possible criminal charges the law would allow them to pursue,” Monroe County Sheriff Kevin Crook said. “Parents were also given an opportunity to share information they had gathered with MCSO Investigators.”

On Thursday, a judge issued warrants for five of the employees after multiple parents filed several charges on the workers.

Sierra McCandless, Oci-Anna Kilburn, Shyenne Shelton and Jennifer Newman each face three counts of felony child abuse. While Traci Hutson faces two charges of failure to report abuse and simple assault against a minor.
