“Love & Hip-Hop” has become a cultural staple, stretching across several cities and giving up several reality television moments that will go down in history.
The franchise kicked off in New York in 2011. The series offered an inside look at figures within the music industry and their relationships. After the inaugural season, which featured notable names such as Jim Jones and his partner, Chrissy Lampkin, and Fabolous’s longtime partner, Emily Bustamante, other spin-offs were introduced in Atlanta, Hollywood, and Miami. There were talks of a Houston franchise, which would have featured a little-known Megan Thee Stallion, though the concept was scrapped.
Even as cast members have come and gone, their impact and meme-able scenes remain a fixture on social media. Whether it was one of Joseline Hernandez’s many reads or Yandy Smith’s relentless hustle that did it, “Love & Hip-Hop” has given us endless laughs.
