According to reports, the flashy Brooklyn pastor, robbed on live stream earlier this month for his jewelry, has been accused of stealing more than $90,000 from a congregant.

There are allegations that Bishop Lamor Whitehead has a history of grifting and even served prison time for identity theft and grand larceny.
In a November 2020 lawsuit, Pauline Anderson, 56, claimed that the Rolls-Royce-driving pastor persuaded her into spending her life savings, giving him the $90,000 as an “investment” with the promise that he would purchase and remodel a property for her. Whitehead also agreed to pay her $100 a month since her savings were her primary income source.
The lawsuit claims that Anderson allegedly only received one money payment from Whitehead in January 2021. Whenever she asked about her house’s status, Whitehead told her he was campaigning for Brooklyn borough president.
In the end, Whitehead used the funds to place a down payment on a $4.4 million home for himself in Saddle River, New Jersey, instead of helping Anderson find and renovate a property.
According to Anderson’s lawsuit, Whitehead accidentally sent an email to Rasheed Anderson, Pauline’s son, who initially introduced the two in 2020. While Whitehead didn’t complete the Saddle River purchase, he did purchase an apartment complex in Hartford for $4.5 million.
The lawsuit states that Whitehead allegedly intervened with his offer of assistance after Anderson said she was advised that her poor credit prevented her from getting a mortgage.

Though Anderson allegedly had “reservations” about giving Whitehead the sizable sum of money, she did so “because he was a supposed man of the cloth and had previously helped her son secure housing for himself.”

According to the lawsuit, he allegedly told her afterward that he had no intentions of repaying the money because he was investing it in his business.

“Ms. Anderson was instead left with nothing but a vague promise by Mr. Whitehead to pay the funds back in the future followed by an assertion that he had no further obligation to do so,” the filing charges.

Anderson claims Whitehead’s “morally reprehensible acts” cost her her life savings, for which she is seeking $1 million in damages.
