Florida Man Allegedly Caught on Ring Camera Raping 97-Year-Old Bedridden Hospice Patient

A horrifying discovery in a Florida home has led to the arrest of a man accused of raping a 97-year-old bedridden woman in his care. Even more shocking, the assault was caught on camera by her concerned niece.

The victim, who is nonverbal and under hospice care, was reportedly attacked by 66-year-old Timothy Morris of Homestead, according to an arrest report cited by Local 10. “She is nonverbal and bedridden,” her niece confirmed in the statement.

Morris has been charged with sexual battery of a physically incapacitated person, per Miami-Dade County court records reviewed by People. He frequently helped care for the victim in the absence of hospice staff, investigators said.

The alarm was raised when a hospice nurse noticed an unusual discharge around the victim’s private area, prompting the niece to install a Ring camera in the bedroom. On April 30th, the niece received an alert from the camera and checked the footage.

“She allegedly saw Morris raping her aunt,” the arrest report said, per Local 10.

Morris has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bond in a Miami-Dade correctional facility.
