A Florida man faces charges after crashing a motorcycle Thursday with his 17-month-old stepdaughter riding on his lap. The toddler is listed in critical condition following the accident.
Dontrell Stanley, 35, was charged with neglect of a child with great bodily harm and having no valid driver’s license. He is currently being held in the Pinellas County jail on $10,250 bail, People reports.
According to police, Stanley ran a stop sign on a 2017 Diax motorcycle Thursday evening while he was riding with his stepdaughter sitting on his lap. He laid the bike down in an attempt to avoid the car, causing the girl to fly under the vehicle.
The baby was taken to All Children’s Hospital, where she was listed in critical but stable condition.
