A Florida deputy drove over a woman who was sunbathing on the beach.
At around 1:08 p.m. on Wednesday, 23-year-old Robin Diffenderfer was run over by Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy Todd Brien, who was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe. Fox News reports the incident happened at St. Pete Beach.
At the time, Brien was responding to a 911 hang-up call that came from a different location. The woman was “lying on her back in the sand” when she was run over. Brien ran over Diffenderfer’s “right side and mid to upper back area,” according to investigators, Fox News reports.
