Flyers Linking Jewish Community To Pandemic Found In Several Florida Neighborhoods

Anti-Semitic flyers were distributed over the weekend to hundreds of homes in two South Florida cities with prominent Jewish populations authorities.

On Sunday, Miami Beach Police confirmed flyers were found inside clear plastic bags filled with rocks implying Jewish people are responsible for the pandemic.

Officials sent a “community alert” email to residents in Surfside, making them aware of the disturbing flyers also distributed to homes in that area.

Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber tweeted a photo of the flyer where half of the words are legible. It lists some of the health officials in Washington leading the response to COVID-19 and says they are Jewish.

“Every sing aspect of the COVID agenda is Jewish,” the flyers read.

According to WSVN, residents say the flyers have them concerned for their safety. “We’re afraid now that something bad could happen to us, as Jews living in Miami Beach,” a resident said.

The bottom of the flyer states, “these flyers were distributed randomly and without malicious intent.” But some residents clearly don’t agree.

Another resident told WSVN that the message written on the back of the flyers was much worse. “One of the things they say is to ‘sacrifice people, including Jews, sometimes when necessary.”

As a precaution, Gelber and Surfside officials said patrols were being stepped up on neighborhoods and at religious institutions. Officials said that local and federal law enforcement agencies were investigating the flyers’ origins.

“There is no place for this in our community & we will do all we can to make that point clear,” Gelber tweeted.
