Food Network Show Winner Claims Daughter Died After Drinking Too Much Water

A South Carolina mother and winner of the 20th season of “Worst Cooks in America” was denied her bail request of $40,000 on Friday after being arrested for the murder of her 3-year-old daughter.

According to a press release, earlier this year, a young victim was admitted to Prisma Health Richland Hospital and was pronounced dead after authorities found her unresponsive.

The victim was no other than the three-year-old daughter of Ariel and Jerry Robinson, Victoria Rose.

Jerry was also arrested along with Ariel on Jan. 14 for homicide by child abuse.

Ariel, 29, alleges that Victoria “drowned from drinking too much water,” saying she” ‘went limp’ after drinking several cups of water, which led her to perform the Heimlich maneuver as she allegedly feared the girl was choking,” People reported.

Police reported that “the victim’s death was the direct result of physical abuse,” — “a result of multiple blunt force injuries.”

Christy Kednocker Sustakovitch, speaking for Ariel, stated that the bruises likely came from the unsuccessful Heimlich attempt and pressing on her stomach.

Although Jerry did not appear in court on Friday, he did make a statement in which he told police that he had never physically hurt Victoria. Still, Ariel would “spank, beat her with different things, including a belt, paddle, flip flop, or whatever,” he said.

He even stated that on the day of Victoria’s death, Ariel hit her with a belt.

Ariel’s bailed was ultimately denied because the judge views her as “flight risk or does pose a substantial danger to the community, most particularly to the children who are in her custody, and potentially even to herself.”

Since the allegations have come to light, The Food Network has removed the 20th season of “Worst Cooks in America” from the cables VOD and all other affiliated streaming services.
