Forbes released its annual list of highest paid celebrities, in their respective fields. Usually, people gravitate toward the highest paid athletes or hip-hop wealthiest artists, to see where their favorite baller or rapper lands on the list. However, this time it’s about the women.

#Forbes released its list of 10 highest-paid actresses worldwide. With the increase in lead roles for women in television and on film, it will be interesting to see where our favorite leading ladies land on the Forbes list.

10. #DeepikaPadukone. According to Forbes, the #Bollywood actress earned $10 million between June 1, 2015 and June 1, 2016. While, her earnings for movie roles may be less than her Hollywood peers, she makes up for it with over a dozen endorsements.

9. #MikaKunis. As the voice of Meg on the hit television series #FamilyGuy and the star of the new movie #BadMoms, Kunis raked in a cool $11 million.

8. #JuliaRoberts. Everyone’s favorite pretty woman is no stranger to the Forbes list. Although, the actress’ new movie tanked in the box office, Roberts still managed to make 8th on the highest-paid list with $13 million.

7. #AmyAdams. You may remember seeing her in #WarnerBros’ #Batman vs. #Superman as #LoisLane. The five-time #Oscar nominee ranked number 7 reeling in $13.5 million.

6. #CharlizeTheron. In addition to being the face of #DiorJAdore perfume, according to Forbes, the actress is rumored to have made $10 million upfront from her role in #TheHuntsman : Winter’s War. That brings her to a whopping $16.5 million.

5. #FanBingBing. While she may not be America’s biggest actress, her face may be recognizable from her L’Oreal advertisements as well as 2014’s #XMen : Days of Future Past. As the only #Chinese actress on the list, this year Bing Bing is sitting on $17 million.

4. #JenniferAniston. Most of Aniston’s money comes from her partnership with big companies such as #Smartwater, #Aveeno and most recently #Emiratesairlines. However, Forbes reports the actress is still reeling in seven figure upfront fees for movies, which has helped land her the number four spot with $21 million.

3. #ScarletJohansson. It’s been reported that the actress earned $17.5 million from her role in #GhostinShell, which boosted her to the top 3, with $25 million.

2. #MelissaMcCarthy. While, the #Ghostbusters remake didn’t necessarily sit well with some fans, McCarthy seemed to have made a pretty penny upfront for the film. The star of #TheBoss ranked top 2 earning $33 million this year.

1. #JenniferLawrence. For the second time in a row, Lawrence has topped the list as Forbes highest-paid actress. The #HungerGames actress boosted her upfront fees for future films, including her upcoming project titled, #Passengers, bringing in $46 million in 2016.

While, some of our favorite movies starred or featured the ladies above, the list seems to be missing some black girl magic. African American women will always have to work twice as hard to reach the same level of success as others. Next year, lets make a better effort of supporting us and watching our movies, featuring our favorite women.
