A Ford Motor Company worker has been suspended after a confrontation with Donald Trump during a visit to the Ford River Rouge plant in Dearborn, Michigan, and he says he stands by what he said.
The moment, captured on video and shared widely online, shows the worker, identified as TJ Sabula, shouting “pedophile protector” as Trump walked past a group of employees on the factory floor. In the same clip, Trump appears to mouth a profane insult and raise his middle finger while continuing through the plant.
Ford later confirmed the worker was suspended pending an internal review, citing company expectations around workplace conduct and respect during official events. After the suspension became public, the worker spoke out and made it clear he has no intention of walking his words back.
“I don’t regret it,” he told The Washington Post, adding that he knew there could be consequences but felt it was important to speak up anyway. He also said he would make the same choice again, even knowing it could cost him at work. The suspension quickly sparked backlash and support online.
Multiple fundraising efforts were launched in his name, with donations pouring in from people who said they wanted to help cover lost wages and show solidarity. The total climbed rapidly as the clip continued circulating across platforms. A GoFundMe account for Sabula has reached over $400,000.
