Terrence Cody, former defensive tackle for the Ravens, will be spending the next nine months in county jail after being convicted of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
According to prosecutors, Cody, who only played one game with the Ravens before being released in February 2015, starved his dog Taz to death over the course of a month. Back in November he was not only convicted for the death of his dog, but also received two misdemeanor drug convictions and was convicted for illegally possessing a pet alligator.Â
Terrence Cody originally faced over two years in jail.  Last month, Cody’s girlfriend was sentenced to 60 days in jail for her role in neglecting the Canary mastiff.
