Former Dallas Cowboy Marion Barber III Taken To Hospital For Mental Eval

On June 15th around 8pm, Mansfield police were called to the 700 block of Moore Rd where they detained former Cowboy Marion Barber and took him to hospital for a mental exam. Barber was not under arrest and was free to leave the hospital after treatment although it’s unknown whether he actually left or not. Police would not comment as to who called the police or why Barber was being evaluated but officers say he was taken to the hospital for a mental health check based on conversations they had with him.

If there is one thing that I always say it’s that mental illness is real and unfortunately it’s swept under the rug in the black community because of the stigma attached to it. I hope for Barber’s sake he is getting help if he needs it.
