A former “intelligence director” for Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, has filed a lawsuit against the artist, alleging a series of disturbing demands and retaliatory behavior. The anonymous plaintiff, identified only as John Doe, claims he was hired in December 2022 as a deputy campaign director, later transitioning to the role of “director of intelligence.” His duties allegedly took a dark turn, including investigating the Kardashian family for supposed criminal activities such as “sex trafficking,” on Kanye’s orders.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, outlines several shocking accusations against Ye. According to Doe, his tasks went beyond typical business assignments. He claims he was instructed to hire private investigators to follow West’s wife, Bianca Censori, while she was visiting family in Australia. The complaint suggests West was particularly paranoid, often assigning Doe to retrieve lost or stolen items and keep track of various people in his life.
Doe further alleges that his relationship with West soured after he reported a case of child abuse at West’s Donda Academy to higher-ups in May 2023. Instead of showing concern, West allegedly exploded, telling Doe, “You’re f***ing dead to me!” The complaint states that West then played an audio recording of “scary voices,” which Doe interpreted as a threat. He claims the incident deeply affected his mental health, triggering PTSD symptoms from his military background and causing him severe anxiety.
The lawsuit paints a picture of a chaotic and unpredictable work environment. According to Doe, West’s behavior grew increasingly erratic as he began using nitrous oxide and underwent a procedure to get “titanium teeth.” This behavior reportedly led to a significant shake-up in the company’s leadership, with multiple executives being let go around the same time Doe filed his complaint.
The plaintiff also alleges he is owed wages for his last few pay periods, which he claims went unpaid. Doe’s legal team, led by attorneys Neama Rahmani and Ronald Zambrano, is seeking damages for emotional distress and retaliation. The lawsuit accuses West of inflicting psychological trauma on his employee, particularly through threatening messages and unsettling demands.
In addition to the claims of unpaid wages and emotional distress, Doe asserts that part of his role involved “brainstorming ideas to keep Ye in the news.” One of the most eye-opening details of the lawsuit is the claim that Ye assigned Doe to investigate his ex-wife’s family, the Kardashians, based on allegations that they were linked to criminal enterprises.
