Dawn Robinson, a founding member of the iconic R&B group En Vogue, recently revealed that she has been living in her car for nearly three years. In a candid vlog on her YouTube channel, Robinson opened up about her struggles, sharing that after moving out of her mother’s home in Las Vegas and facing housing challenges in Los Angeles, she turned to living in her car as a solution.

“I’ve been living in my car for almost three years,” Robinson shared around the 2:40 mark. “It’s been a journey, but I’m proud of myself for figuring it out. I felt free, and I don’t regret it.”

Robinson spoke about the difficulties she’s faced, from financial struggles to the emotional toll of losing her dog, Max, while living on the road. Despite the challenges, she expressed that the experience has been one of self-discovery and strength. She also addressed any assumptions that her situation might be a publicity stunt, stating, “I’ve been documenting my journey for a documentary. This is my reality, and I hope it inspires others to see they can overcome anything.”

Robinson first rose to fame as part of En Vogue, one of the world’s best-selling girl groups known for hits like “Hold On,” “Free Your Mind,” and “Giving Him Something He Can Feel.” She later joined platinum-selling supergroup Lucy Pearl and launched a solo career.
