A former NFL player is now behind bars after he was accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and burning her remains.
On April 29, 2022, 29-year-old Taylor Pomaski’s remains were positively identified after they were discovered in December 2021. Kevin Ware, Jr., 42, is accused of killing Pomaski, who went missing on April 25, 2021.
On Wednesday, court documents stated that Ware killed Pomaski, then burned her body and buried the remains.
Ware had been identified as a person of interest in Taylor’s case and was on bond when she vanished for an unrelated crime.
In July, Ware was indicted for murder.
He is being held at the Harris County Jail and is expected to appear in court on Monday. Ware faces a life sentence if convicted of murder.
Ware was a tight end with the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins during his time in the NFL.
